Morning Sessions
Each morning will begin with gentle inquiry setting the tone as you step mindfully into your Ashtanga Yoga self practice. Scott will lead you through guided meditations on the foundational aspects of mindfulness, followed by prānāyāma and breathing practices. During the Mysore style Ashtanga practise, Scott will work with you to keep this awareness, helping you discover more space and movement in your practice through personal attention and collaboration.
Afternoon Sessions
In the afternoon sessions, we will explore the technique and philosophy behind Ashtanga yoga. Technique will focus on breath and bandha, teaching safe and mindful practice across all asanas. We will also cover movement adjustments to help you connect the practice with your unique body. Philosophy will delve into the principles of kindness and compassion, exploring how the practice of Loving Kindness forms the foundation for living a good life.
